The Woodend Tennis Club is affiliated with North Canterbury tennis and fields both junior and senior teams for inter club competition (usually held) on Saturdays. We are always looking for new players so please feel free to contact us at any time and any skill level is considered.There is a 2 court tennis court at the Woodend School (accessed via Rangiora Woodend Road) which is available year round.Courts at Gladstone Park are ashphalt and the courts at Woodend School are a green rendered composite.SOCIAL TENNISIs held on Wednesday nights at the Gladstone Road courts. Come in and join and have a hit. $3 for non members. Balls provided. All skill levels. Games are usually doubles and teams are mixed. If numbers warrant it the lights can be turned on for later playing.Coaching is available with Ian Allso a British born TennisNZ registered coach, residing in North Canterbury and who is affiliated with North Canterbury Tennis. Ian works with children through the Tennis Hot Shots programme, junior groups and one on one coaching as well as senior coaching. He is happy to coach anyone who would like to learn, with locations and times being flexible to fit his busy schedule.
