Pam FraserI have been around sport all my life and am an avid photographer.  Having completed a degree in communications, became a sports administrator. I also enjoy coaching.  Recently I decided to follow my passion and join the freelance world, in photography and journalism.  My husband and I have three children and enjoy watching their sport, and travelling.

Happy New Year - Ngā mihi o te tau hou! The whakatauki above pretty much sums up 2020 - a canoe which we were paddling in, sometimes not moving much at all, sometimes speeding forwards, sometimes with lots of us paddling, sometimes just keeping it moving with just a few able to keep it going, but mostly paddling forwards and all of us sticking together to keep it going. Firstly an apology - to Gabrielle Gray, who picked up a PB yesterday & ran herself into 2nd place (yep I reported that) but she also picked up the SW20-24 Age Group Record at Pegasus in doing so - Congratulations Gabrielle! Rudolph, Dasher, Vixen and Blitzen made up the team to bring Santa and his elves to Pegasus parkrun today. The Canterbury United Pride achieved back to back to back wins of the National Women’s Football League, and North Canterbury was well represented by Waimak United players Freya Lodge-Whitham, and Annie Foote, along with former players Gabi Rennie and Tahlia Herman-Watt. The Oxford-Rangiora cricket team finished 2020 with a good win over Southbrook in the Country Cricket one day competition. Batting first they put 226/10 on the scoreboard. Calvin Scott surpassed the half century mark opening up with 58. In reply Southbrook lasted 33 overs, but could only manage 84/10. A five-wicket bag from Sam Fleming was the major highlight.
