Pam FraserI have been around sport all my life and am an avid photographer.  Having completed a degree in communications, became a sports administrator. I also enjoy coaching.  Recently I decided to follow my passion and join the freelance world, in photography and journalism.  My husband and I have three children and enjoy watching their sport, and travelling.

Liam Goodwin has finished third at the BMX Nationals in Rotorua over the weekend, behind Michael Bias from North Harbour and Rico D’Anvers of Cambridge. Goodwin was also awarded the NZ BMX A Sportsman of the Year award. Also riding at the Nationals were Logan Clark, Ben Polden, Lucas Thornton, and Brooklyn Hansen.  Brooklyn Hansen finished 9th in the 9 boys. Thornton finished 8th in the 11 boys, and Polden was 15th. Despite a weekend of upsets, the current top four made their way through to the semifinals of the Canterbury Country one day competition. Winless Lincoln batted first against Darfield and put on 251/6 with Joe Williams opening at a quick clip and reaching 56 off 59 balls. Sunday brought a flurry of cricket with the Canterbury Country T20 semifinals and finals played at Mandeville. In the semifinals, Leeston Southbridge took on Sefton with both teams stacked with Canterbury and Country representatives. Sefton batted first and put on 134/6. Queens finish fourth Queens finish fourth

The Kaiapoi Queens couldn’t finish the season one place higher, after they faced the PCU Angels on finals day. It was all PCU as they took the win 6-1. Nerissa Bailey-McDowell was the only Kaiapoi batter to cross the home plate. Her run came in the fourth innings following a double from Boo Quinn, and singles from Caitlin Bennett and Raina Joseph.
