North Canterbury athlete, Jake Boyd, has picked up a bronze medal in the Canterbury Children’s Athletics quadrathon event. The quadrathon is a multi discipline event, like a decathlon, where athletes compete for overall points. The Kaiapoi Queens premier women’s softball team had a good win 2-0 over Papanui in the weekend. It wasn’t enough to lift them off the bottom of the competition, but will give them confidence heading into the second round.
