I also enjoy coaching.  Recently I decided to follow my passion and join the freelance world, in photography and journalism.  My husband and I have three children and enjoy watching their sport, and travelling.

The first of the semi-finalists of the Canterbury Country T20 were found over the weekend in Pool 1. Leeston Southbridge finished on top of the pool with their win over Cheviot. Cheviot reached 133/8 in their twenty overs with Chris Burnett scoring 49. Leeston Southbridge in reply reached 134/4 in 17.2 overs. Brandon Hill’s 70 not out the base of their innings. The Kaiapoi Softball club held their club day, at the newest sporting facility in the Waimakariri. Norman Kirk Park in Kaiapoi is the new home of the Kaiapoi Softball club, and has two artificial surface, fenced diamonds, along with several grass pitches. Round 15 of the Canterbury Country one day senior competition was played on Waitangi Day.  At Pearson Park in Oxford, Lincoln were rolled for 102 by Oxford Rangiora. Opener Hugh Paterson showed some grit for the visitors, scoring 25, but 4/18 from Fergus Fairbairn destroyed any chance of a challenging score.
