In an enthralling game of netball in the Premier grade, Kaiapoi came back against the youthful Rangiora High senior A team, to win 43-37. It was an even contest throughout the match, with Kaiapoi pulling away in the final quarter. Ohoka one defeated Ohoka two 80-14, and Central pipped Amberley in their match 41-38. That leaves Ohoka one and Central now at the top of the table. Points: Ohoka one 8, Central 8, Amberley 5, Kaiapoi 4, Rangiora High 1, Ohoka two 0. The matches in the senior A grade were all fairly tight, with Ashley winning 33-31 over Oxford, Kaiapoi High defeating Rangiora High 10a’s 38-24, and Central defeating Rangiora High B 29-27. In the reserves Kaiapoi two got up over Woodend 34-27, Kaiapoi three defeated Ashley 31-23, and Central four were beaten by Ohoka four, 32-38. The Future Ferns Year 7-8A's, saw a 15 all draw between Ohoka and Kaiapoi. Fernside were too good for Ashley, 55-4, and Ashgrove defeated Rangiora 39-9.
