Good form

North Canterbury Junior athletes produced some good results at the Interclub event at Nga Puna Wai in the weekend, with only one weekend to go before Canterbury Champs. 

Sienna Watson was first in 14 girls high jump and 3rd in 60m. Jake Boyd also found top spot in 10 boys race walk, and was 2nd in discus. Finishing first in three of his events, 60m, 100m and long jump, was Farai Musesengwa, 9 boys. Lily Morrison was also the fastest finishing 11 girl in the 60m. Other good results came from Lynda Jane Kitto, 2nd in high jump for 11 girls. Xanthe Jane was 2nd in 200m and 3rd in high jump for 14 girls, and Mya Phillips was 2nd in shot put in the same agegroup. Alexander Jonathan was 2nd in race walk for 10 boys, and Charlie Boyd finished 3rd in his shot put for 7 boys.

Also continuing her good form was Jess Hendren, at the senior interclub in the afternoon, finishing first in the open women’s high jump.
