Rangiora men pick up points

The Rangiora division one men’s team picked up points in the weekend with a 1-1 draw with Harewood. Damien Allerby found the back of the goal for Rangiora.  Unfortunately, the women’s team couldn’t do the same going down 1-7 to Harewood.
The news wasn’t much better for the Sunday Premiership women, with the Rangiora Korimako team going down 1-11 to Carlton Redcliffs, and the Championship side, Rangiora Piwakawaka defeated 0-4 by Avon. The Men’s Championship sides both had losses too, with the Colts beaten 1-2 by University of Canterbury Celtics, and the Oddfellows defeated 0-3 by Carlton Redcliffs.
In the Platinum grades, the men’s Rangiora A side lost 0-18 to Avon Gold, and the B’s lost 1-16 to Marist. It was a closer match for the Rangiora A women, who narrowly lost 2-3 to Southern, but the B’s came out 5-0 winners over Waikirikiri. Hinemoa Kaiapoi Tawa also had a win, 4-1 over Harewood.
It was all smiles for the Hinemoa Kaiapoi grass women, as they picked up their third win from three games, 5-0 over Southern.
Midweek, the Rangiora One men’s team continued their winning streak too, defeated Harewood 3-0 to maintain their lead at the top of the table. Hinemoa Kaiapoi Kauri sit third after their 7-1 win over Marist. The Rangiora Allsorts had a win too, 5-1 over the University of Canterbury Romans. The Hinemoa Kaiapoi Rata midweek women’s team suffered a 1-3 loss to Carlton Redcliffs, but the Rangiora Hurunui Hares won 3-0 over HSOB Burnside. In division three the Hinemoa Kaiapoi Totara got bragging rights over the Rangiora Hawkes 4-0.
