Waimak rise again

The Waimak  senior men’s football team have gained another place on the Canterbury Championship League ladder in the weekend after a solid 2-0 win over Parklands. Alex Kedslie got the scoring going, and Lucas Clark finished it off, as Parklands failed to find the back of the net. The clean sheet win leaves the local lads in 4th place, and they remain only three points off the leaders.  The CCL reserve team had another good win 4-2, and they too sit mid table in their league.

The Waimak premier womens’ football team were unable to make up any ground on the WPL league leaders, Coastal Spirit, when they were defeated by the 0-4. The CWC reserve women picked up a 4-0 win over Selwyn, taking them up to second on the table.

There were no Canterbury United Development youth league matches due to school holidays.
